All employees have multiple roles, priorities, and challenges – as staff members, as partners, as parents, as children, as friends, and as members of communities.

To provide fulfilling work experiences and obtain maximum staff productivity, it is in the best interest of the University, and the Division of Student Affairs specifically, to facilitate the integration of work and life outside of work for our staff members.

Student Affairs strives to enhance its work environments and to ensure its work cultures are staff-friendly and on the forefront in the area of work-life integration practices.

VISION

The Division of Student Affairs provides work environments that are supportive of the whole person—with a work life and a life outside of work—through policies and practices that fulfill the core mission of each unit and allow for flexibility and innovation in the way work gets done.

MISSION

The Division of Student Affairs provides its staff with the opportunity to explore a variety of options to enable them to better manage the competing demands of their work and their life outside of work.  Employees and supervisors are aware of various programs and opportunities and engage in dialogue about ways to improve work-life integration in each department.
