Mehjabeen Moulvi

Mehjabeen serves as the Director for Finance and Business Processes within the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs. In this capacity, she plays the key role of streamlining business processes and procedures, creating and analyzing budgets, managing internal controls, assisting the Business Manager, and supporting 16 departments within the Division of Student Affairs. 

Mehjabeen has 24 years of experience working in the academic environment and 9 years in the banking industry. She comes from the University of Michigan where she was the Sr. Business Manager in the Office of the Vice Provost for Engaged Learning. In her career at the University of Michigan, she was also a member of the Voices of the Staff team and the Women of Color task force.

Mehjabeen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a minor in Auditing from Maharaja Sayajirao University, India. Originally from Gujarat, India Mehjabeen migrated to the United States with her family in September of 1990 to Michigan and recently made the move to come to Maryland to be closer to her family.

Mehjabeen and her husband are proud parents of three children, two daughters and a son. She also has two grandkids, a 6 year old and a one year old, who are the joy of her life.
