Description: False Monarchy artist Kyle Kogut and curator Raino Isto will be holding a conversation in the Stamp Gallery on March 15, beginning at 6:30pm. Together, they will explore the work on view in the exhibition, and the ways that the themes and symbols of False Monarchy relate to Kogut's practice more broadly. We invite you to join the conversation! The event is free and open to the public.

False Monarchy is a solo exhibition featuring the work of Philadelphia-based artist Kyle Kogut. Kogut uses the practices and symbols of occultism and the ubiquitous iconography of auto industry kitsch to explore the contemporary politics of American myth and despair. False Monarchy is on view at the Stamp Gallery at the University of Maryland, College Park, through March 17, 2018.
