The Kayley Milor Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Our daughter, Kayley Milor ’22, loved life at the University of Maryland and was set to graduate from the School of Public Health. To honor her life and legacy this scholarship will provide financial support to hard-working and highly motivated students who embody Kayley’s spirit of leadership and dedication to helping others. -Ron and Tien Milor

Maurice W. Dorsey, Ph.D. and Robert J. Battjes, D.S.W. Endowed Scholarship for the Student Success Initiative

Established in December of 2021, the Maurice W. Dorsey Ph.D. and Robert J. Battjes D.S.W. Endowed Scholarship for the Student Success Initiative will provide merit-based scholarships for undergraduate students who are involved with the Student Success Initiative, a student-led program that empowers the Black student population academic, financially and professionally, through the Division of Student Affairs.

Matthew Watson Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Matthew W. Watson Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in July 2007 by friends and family of the late Matthew W. Watson, a University sophomore who died suddenly in May 2007. Spendable Income from the Matthew W. Watson Memorial Scholarship Fund provides annual scholarships of at least $1,000 for an incoming freshman or transfer student at the University who has graduated from Centennial High School in Howard County, Maryland.

Jack Godfrey Memorial Scholarship

The Jack Godfrey Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 2014 by Jack’s family in order to help create educational opportunities for University of Maryland students who demonstrate a passion for learning and interest in creative writing.

Dreamkeepers Emergency Financial Assistance Scholarship Fund

The Dreamkeepers Emergency Financial Assistance program at the University of Maryland is designed to help students avoid dropping out of school when faced with unforeseen financial difficulties. Dreamkeepers can help ease student worries about housing, food and utilities, tuition and books, transportation, and childcare and medical needs, allowing students faced with sudden financial obstacles to focus their energy on education.

Student Life and Leadership Fund

The Student Life and Leadership Fund provides critical funding to support projects, initiatives and programs that, as determined by the Vice President, are in some manner priorities for the Division of Student Affairs. The ultimate goal of this fund is to enhance the student experience.

Student Crisis Fund

The Student Crisis Fund is managed by the Dean of Students Office housed within the Division of Student Affairs. Creating a culture of care is central to the Dean of Students values. In the spirit of caring for our students, the Student Crisis Fund supports the financial wellness and personal wellbeing of our students so they can thrive personally and academically. The Student Crisis fund is funded by our generous donors and supporters and it provides financial support when a verified crisis has negatively impacted a student's health, safety, wellbeing, and their ability to continue their education.

Division of Student Affairs Scholarship Fund

The Division of Student Affairs Scholarship Fund is used to recognize undergraduate students who have made a significant impact on the quality of life for students and/or employees at the University of Maryland. Successful scholarship candidates show evidence of commitment to the job, leadership, quality of work, accomplishments, and a genuine dedication to providing service to students and/or the University community through their positions.
